Idaho...our new home

After a taking the long way to our new home, we finally made it to Idaho.  We didn't make to the housing office on the first day that we got there so we checked into the TLF (Temporary Living Facility).  It wasn't bad, but we started to wonder about this new base we call home.  We tried to keep an open mind, but it was hard when there wasn't much to offer for dinner.  The next morning we went to the housing office to see what they had to offer.  It wasn't very promising...they had nothing...at least not any 4 bedrooms that weren't going to be torn down in the next 6 months.  So with a little persuasion... the found two different options for us...a 3 bedroom Junior NCO...and a 3 bedroom Senior NCO.  One was a okay...we decided it would work.  We are not sure exactly how, but we were very worried.  The worst part being we couldn't get into a house until August 15.  We decided to stop at the commissary and the BX for some needed items to help us get through the next month.  Eric was ready to go sign papers, luckily the girls wanted a little break.

This gave us enough time to really talk about what was happening and our concerns.  We both had the same feelings...but didn't want to say anything.  Our plan was to live on base...it was going to be the best option.  So we decided we would check out a rental...and we were lucky enough to arrange a meeting to see a house.  That made our decision for us...we decided to live off base.  We spent the next day looking at multiple houses...ones that are ready to move in immediately.  This was the lucky winner.  Our new house in Idaho....the perfect party house...the kitchen open up into a huge living room and the third car garage runs the length of the house.  Its not as big as our house in Colorado, but we can make it work.

Unfortunately we couldn't get our things delivered for another week...so we are stuck in the TLF for at least a week.  Trying to cooking with a few dishes was a little challenging...but we made it happen.  Now if only we could get an offer on our house in Colorado.
