The airport drop off was a little emotional for Savannah. Perhaps it would have been harder on us...but we know we will see each other again in 6 weeks. We hope that time flies, but we have so much going on in our family.

Saying Goodbye...
This was the last weekend that Alex and Emily spent in Texas. I think this might be one of the hardest moves on them ever. Number one reason being they are teenagers and life is all about your friends...change is not always the best option. The other reason they have been here in San Angelo for almost 5 years. For a military family that is almost permanent. The weekend turned out very well. Alex had some friends over Friday night while Emily went to sleep over at one of her friends house. They had fun and we barely even noticed they were here at all. Sunday Alex went to a friends house and Emily had some friends from school come over. The night started out with lots of giggles and talking. A complete contrast of the boy party and the girl party. They both had a lot of fun, but I don't think either were sure how to say goodbye. Alex inherited another trait of his dads...he gets very emotional. Emily was sad, but not so emotional...perhaps it was the lack of sleep that she had Sunday night that she became a zombie. Alex was sad, maybe wanted to cry, but he is a 15 year old boy...boys don't cry right. Needless to say we met some friends for some treats by a campfire and he didn't want to go. Better off if you don't have to say goodbye...just leave then you don't have to deal with your emotions.

Makes email, blogging, and long distance telephone calling SUCH a blessing... I'm sorry about the rough week.
Sounds like they had a nice time before the end. Every time I look at your blog I know mine needs help but it is there and people can see the kids right.
