Nana & Papa come to Texas...

What a weekend filled with family and fun. Eric's dad was in Arlington on a business trip so mom decided to come and visit the family in Texas. It was a short, but fun filled weekend for all of us. Maybe with too much ice cream, but the kids surely didn't mind. Savannah was exhausted from all of the late nights, but she did great and came to love her nana and papa.

Sunday was a beautiful day here in San Angelo so we decided to take a walk down by the river. We enjoyed the weather, tried to figure out what the various plants and trees were called, and watched Alex try not lose his soccer ball in the river. We all had a good time even though walking by the river wasn't the most exciting Sunday activity for teenagers...no worries, they survived.

Savannah quickly had her Nana and Papa eating (literally out of her hand). She quickly warmed up to them both and made sure she gave her papa an extra long hug before he left. They will be missed.

Soccer in Arlington was just a little crazy. The day started out wet and humid, but ended up to be beautiful. We had fun and Savannah managed to get a really short nap. Alex played really well. The won their first game and lost their second.

Savannah is becoming a soccer girl in the making. She loves to watch her brother play and if she sees a ball, she has to play with it right now.
