This year for Brittlynn's birthday all she wanted to do was to go the zoo. She loves going there, and I love taking her. She went the year before and I think that is what she thinks we are supposed to do. Eric and I got up early to run together before we left. Getting to the zoo turned out to be a little later than we had hoped.
We got there just in time to be able to see the wolves getting fed. That is one of my favorite part. You never see them except during their feeding time. They are part of a program to keep them wild because there is only about 400 left of their kind.Dad got a good picture of this one. We always have a lot of fun at the zoo.
It was a beautiful day and so many of the animals were out moving around. If the weather is too hot then a lot of the cats are lazy and they like to sleep. We did go and see the gorillas during nap time and that was a surprising little treat. The girls got to ride the little train and we some how managed to see most of the zoo before it got to late. The hard part is they remember what we missed. Don't make fun of me because I match my girls. They love pink.
After we came home from the zoo then we had everyone take naps so that we could get ready for friends to come over. We decided a nice family BBQ would be great for the birthday girl. She had a blast running around playing with all of her friends. The funniest part is if anyone asked her how old she was she would answer 2...she isn't 3 until after her birthday. She is such a funny girl and has such a unique personality.
Daddy got her a pink cowgirl hat...that she loves and if she could she would wear it everywhere. To show you a little of how her entertaining personality is...she came out wearing this outfit right before dinner. I am not sure where she comes up with these things or what makes her want to change what she is wearing. It is just funny and we love her for it.
