The First Salute
My husband works at the Air Force Academy. He used to be and AMT (Academy Military Trainer). He was responsible for working closely with the Cadets. He switch jobs last fall and is now a supervisor, but the Cadets he used to work with still love him. He has been doing this for three years now, and this year the first group of Cadets that he worked with graduated. We went up to the base for the commissioning ceremony. Over half of the graduating class from his old group asked him to give the first salute. Its a long journey to get where they are and it was great to for Eric to see how much influence he had on so many of his Cadets. This is one of the girls favorite Cadets. His name is Reed and he always found a way to get the girls to smile when we were visiting Daddy's office. He will be a great officer.
