One last trip to Arlington

We told ourselves when the soccer season was over we would never make the drive to Arlington again.  You should be careful when you say never...it might just happen again.  Last week we got a call from Eric's Dad to let us know he would be in Dallas on business.  It was going to be a short trip and he couldn't stay any longer.  So we decided we could drive there to be able to see him.  The only time he had available was Wednesday afternoon.  So we drove down that morning to eat lunch with Papa and hang out with him until he had to catch his flight.

Savannah with her Papa

The best part about this day was how much Savannah enjoyed spending time with her Papa.  It is always hard living so far away from family.  Especially for little kids who are often particular about the people they like.  You never know how they will react.  We went to visit Eric's family at Christmas and it took Savannah the whole week before she would let her Nana and Papa hold her.  So we were surprised and excited to watch Savannah ask for her Papa all afternoon long.  She couldn't get enough of him.
