Soccer Fun...

Emily's soccer season has almost come to an end. She only has one more game to determine first place. She played hard this season, scored a goal or two and showed the boys on her team she wasn't messing around and she could handle the ball.

With Emily's Saturday games finished we decided to take a family trip to watch Alex play. So the family went without... Emily. (She ended up having two birthday parties to go to.)

Alex played really hard. The first game he had two assist for both of the goals. The second game he got hit in the face with the ball...usually not too bad except when the other players' foot is following the ball to your face. He went home with a way huge headache.

We enjoyed the day watching Alex play soccer. Savannah is eagerly trying to follow in brothers footsteps. She carried around her soccer ball all day long, practiced kicking the ball, and wanted to run out on the soccer field every chance she got. She was also fascinated by the girls team that was warming up on the side lines. (Dad might get his wish after all...she might be another soccer player in the family.)

We enjoyed lunch together (that took forever to get, but was way good...burgers & shakes) and a nice long ride home (4+ hours). To add to the long evening Savannah couldn't stay asleep. Polly thought she might be running a fever. We stopped to pick up Emily at the Kaldor's (The friends house she stayed at while we were gone for the day, thanks again.) As we were leaving Savannah let us know the long ride was too long. She threw up all over herself and the back seat. Once again the Kaldor's came to the rescue providing towels, wash clothes, the floor to change Savannah, and a sink to rinse out the yucky clothes (Thanks Amy for rinsing them out!) We came home took Savannah's temp 102.3...no church for her tomorrow. We now know why she had so many stinky diapers. She wasn't feeling well.

The good that came out of this crazy Saturday...Somehow we managed to find Emily a dress that fits her and she likes without her being there and she can wear it to YW in Excellence. (pictures posted later) The amazing part about this discovery is she doesn't like dresses and she is in between sizes right now...14 girls/0-3 Adult sizes so you have to hope it might fit. (I still buy her girls sizes when I can because they are lots cheaper...and this dress was modest...hard to come by here.)

While cleaning out the car we also found brothers long lost cell phone. (Yeah, Alex can be a teenager again) It would have only been found when the car seat was taken out of the car and this only happens when you have to do a deep cleaning for events like sick babies.
