Friday:
Alex went with a friend to Austin for his Tournament. The rest of the family stayed to watch Emily in her play. What a great production! Amazingly enough Emily managed to make it through the play by not talking (don't worry she was able to sing a lot). She played the part of the Clyde the dog...a trusting friend. She was still able to be the center of the stage by captivating the audience with her fun loving personality and over dramatic body language. Who knew that the part of a dog could entertaining. Many of our friends were also in the play, which made it all the better. Emily truly enjoyed spending with two of her best friends, who also participated. She gets better and better each time she performs. She has no fear of the stage. We hope hope that we could send her to a drama camp next summer...or something.
Beauty Lou and the country Beast.
The Cast
Emily as Clyde...yes she is a cheese.
Savannah entertaining all during the play...
Yes she is talking on my cell phone. We like to start them young.

Thanks for the Flowers Dad!
Savannah and Sam talking after they play.
Saturday:
It is off to Austin we go. We wake up early in the morning drop off Emily and drive to Austin. We arrive just in time to see Alex in his first game of the day. He starts it all off with a beautiful assist. The day was hot...luckily we brought with us some shade. The heat just got worse...we are not sure how the players survived. The second game multiple players were injured and Alex was able to play in a position that allowed him to come alive as a player. Without any goals in the first half he comes out and scores at the beginning of the second half with a cross from a team mate. He was able to curve the ball just out of reach of the goalie. This energized the whole team and they were ready to play. They played well and got third place in the tournament. Unfortunately, there wasn't a championship game. They placed according to points.
