Go Airforce Falcons!

One of the exciting things about working at a University is going to the sporting events.  The best part is knowing some of the players and cheering them on.  The first game we were able to go to as a family was BYU vs AF.  It was a big game around here.  What made it even more special was it was on the aniversary of 9-11.  So they had some special things planned.  One of the items for the day was to honor those men and women who serve our country.  Eric was selected to represent his group on the field because he has recently deployed.  We attended college football at our last base, but it just wasn't the same as what we got to see.  The best part were our seats.  We were so close to the field.

Here are some of the highlights.

 All cadets at the Air Force Academy are required to attend the football games.  Before the games they line up in their squadrons to march out on the field.  They are led by the band.  After everyone is on the field they all run to the bleachers.  It is the craziest thing to see.  The pictures below kinda show you what is going on.  It is way cool to watch.
