A little good luck bear.

For the longest time the girls have wanted to get their daddy a bronco bear. I seem to always forget when its his birthday or fathers day...Christmas this year we remembered. It was so exciting to see the girls pick our a dog for their daddy because he loves dogs and then they choose his clothes. The doggie ears make wearing the helmet a little hard, but they were excited. Savannah couldn't wait the first game the broncos played to get her dog all dressed up and ready to go. It turned out to be a good luck charm. We one and were headed to the playoffs. I love that she loves what her daddy loves and she loves being with him.

Christmas Morning

Christmas is a day with a lot of family traditions. We also remember our Savior Jesus Christ and the miracle of his birth. We enjoy being able to spend the time together as a family. Our family is growing and Christmas all spent together wont come as often. So we will continue to cherish the time we have together and the memories we make. This year we have Emily on her mission and Alex is in Japan. So we had a small Christmas with just four of us. I love stockings....I love everything about them. My favorite tradition growing up was my mom would let us get into our stalking when we woke up. Then we had to wait until whatever time she determined to go wake her up. (It was usually 6:00 am) My girls do the same thing and the love it. The love discovering whats in their stalking and looking over all of the new presents that are under the tree.

Shortly after we woke up to open presents with the girls Alex called us. We faced timed him while we opened present. I love what technology can do to keep families together. The girls miss their brother and it was nice to see he was excited to be part of the family day. Sometimes you don't realized the how much you miss the little things until they are all gone.

After presents were done, breakfast had, playing began, we started calling family members to wish them Merry Christmas. Later in the morning we were able to talk to Emily. It was great to hear from he and see how happy she was as a missionary and all of the wonderful things that she has learned and experienced. It was really great to see her with her companion, who never left her side. She said she has found her best friend and they have already made so many plans for after missions and school. Its good to see her happy.
Christmas morning is always so exciting when you have little kids. I could just sit and watch the girls open presents and see the joy in their eyes. My girls make shopping a little hard when we ask them what they want they say anything you get me will be great. I am grateful that we aren't at the stage of disappointment. I also love how grateful they are for all of the little things. We did a lot better this year taking pictures of the girls with their gifts from family and saying thanks when they opened them. The best part of the morning was spending it all together.

We love the Snow

Eric had the week off before Christmas and we decided to make the most of it. After our trip to Utah we decided to take the girls skiing on Christmas Eve. What a great day we had. The girls are doing so well learning to ski. They have no fear and I could spend the whole day watching them play in the snow. We had them take an hour of private lessons and after that Savannah was unstoppable. She was up and down the magic carpet. Now we just need to teach her how to get in and off the lifts. Brittlynn gets tired really fast, so after awhile during her lessons she was done. By the end of the day she was able to go down the hill a few times by herself. She fell down hard and was done. Then all she wanted to do was play in the snow. We almost couldn't get them to leave the snow. Unfortunately we had to get on the road because of the snow that was coming done so hard. It took us awhile to make it home, but we made it safe and that's all that matters. Eric and I were able to ski together for a few runs while the girls were at lessons. It was a great way to spend Christmas Eve and we hope to make it a family tradition.  The day was sure exhausting for Britt she passed out as soon as we got into the car.

Merry Christmas Eve

It was a traditional Christmas Eve at our house were we all snuggled together to watch a new Christmas movie together in our new Pjamas. I love traditions. I especially love celebrating with my girls. What would I do without them. They joy and excitement are contagious and that's what makes the little things so important. We also shared the story of Christ to remind our family of the why we celebrate. Why we give and how our lives have changed because of this day. So excited for Christmas morning. Hopefully we can stay awake long to finish wrapping the presents.

Christmas lights adventures

Family adventures are the best. Especially the ones that a spontaneous and a little crazy. We decided to take a short trip to Utah to see the lights on temple square and of course stop at our favorite place to eat. The best is when the girls want to go were you want to go. We love...In N Out. The weather was extremely kind to us and we had plenty of time do see temple square. The girls were a little tired form driving all morning. We did have moments when they were really excited...playing in the kitchen play area at the family history museum, dressing up in costumes at Deseret book, the best was watching the water  show dance to music in the outdoor mall. Brittlynn was so excited. The lights I am not sure if they really enjoyed, but I love that we are able to make memories with them. Of course they didn't want to go to bed when we got to our hotel. All they wanted to do was play.
We woke up the next morning with a snow storm and decided to head home as fast as we could, because we were sure how bad the roads might be. Luckily  it was only really bad in Utah. It was a great mini-vacation...I hope we never stop going on our adventures.
