Thanksgiving in Utah

The Virgo Family...
and then some.

Life is all about changes and when you add additions to the family it means making special trips too see everyone.  We moving a little closer makes it all possible.  It took us awhile for us to make a final decision.  We talked to Quinn to see if he and Barbie were willing to host our family,  Lisa was willing to make the drive,  so it was all up to us.  With the holiday soon approaching a decision had to be made.  We decided to make the drive.  Easier said then done with winter weather approaching.  We loaded up the family, not sure what the road conditions would be.  Brittlynn did amazing in the car, sleeping the whole way except when it was time for her to eat.  Savannah is at the age she can be entertained with a movie.  Alex and Emily slept most of the way.  We did drive through some crazy weather in Wyoming, but for the most part we had little delays getting to Utah.

Savannah enjoying a snack and a movie in the back seat.

The winter storm from the back window.

Eric felt like he was driving on the moon with the wind blowing the snow around.

Quinn and Barbie did a great job hosting our family.  Not everyone was able to make it for the whole day, but they did manage to show up just long enough to get a family picture, open some early Christmas gifts, and cause a little chaos.  Eric especially enjoyed thanksgiving at my brothers house, football was on all day long.

Eric doing what he love most...watching football and snuggling Brittlynn.

Brittlynn giving some love to her Grandmere.

We love our Grandmere!

Emily having a little fun with her sister.

Dakota and Liberty...yes they are sisters.

Anyone up for the game of twister?

Mom brought bandit along for the fun.

Showing a little brotherly sisterly love.

A little game of who can be the craziest.

Cousins anxiously waiting for their present.

Quinn handing out his gifts.

It was so nice of uncle Quinn to think of everyone when he was in Hawaii.  From swim dresses, wraps, and t-shirts, everyone had something with a big smile on their faces.  Thank-you again Quinn and Barbie.

Savannah saying thank-you for her new swim dress.

Thank-you Barbie for my new dress.

Somewhere along the way family pictures were mentioned.  You can only imagine what it takes to get a good picture with so many people, especially little kids, and limited space and time.  Between Pollyanna and Lisa everyone was quickly in order three pictures taken and the end result...as close to perfection as possible.

The girl cousins in place waiting for the big picture.

Mom is ready...where is the rest of the family?

With a little help from photo shop, this is the final product.  Everyone is looking at the camera and most everyone is smiling.  (Just don't look too close to Emily she thinks it is the worst picture ever.)  For Family history sake we are going to name everyone in the picture.
Back row: Dakota Dickson, Gabrielle Samford, Bethany Disque, Daelynn Disque, Bethany Dickson, Christianna Disque, Savannah Lescarbeau, Emily Lescarbeau, Kohen Virgo, Eric Lescarbeau
Front row: Hunter Dickson, Barbie Upton, Samuel Samford, Jericho Dickson, Steve Dickson, Lisa Dickson, James Samford, Alex Lescarbeau, Bandit, Gina Virgo, Brittlynn Lescarbeau, Pollyanna Lescarbeau, Michelle Bellinger, John Virgo
It is great to record moments like this in history.  Who knows the next time the whole family will be together like that.  We are glad we were able to make the trip to see the whole family.

Let it Snow!

Spending five years in Texas makes you miss somethings; Mountains, cool air, seasons...the snow.  Although it snowed a few times in Texas...we were still anxious to see more of it, especially Savannah.  Daddy came home from work, dinner was quickly eaten, and snow clothes were put on.  Everyone was so excited to go out and play.  Brittlynn even bundled up for a quick trip outside.  Mom of course had the privilege of taking the pictures of all the fun.  We found it a little strange that we were the only ones in the neighbor playing outside in the snow...shouldn't they be just as excited?

Savannah anxiously waiting to go outside.

Daddy I love you!

Priceless!

Savannah just had to give the snow man a hug.

Everyone as happy as can be playing in the snow!

Garden of the Gods

Garden of the Gods

What do you do with your family on a beautiful Sunday afternoon?  Why not head to "God's Garden".  Its close to home, it is free, and it doesn't take that long to go through it all.  This is the second trip that Polly has taken, and it seems that there is always an adventure in the great outdoors.  It is also a great reminder of the beauty that God has put here on this earth to enjoy.

 We are off...

Yes, this is brother and sister together in a picture...it always amazes me when the get along with each other.
Savannah loves being around her Papa....she is going to miss him when he goes home.
This is love tried and true...40 years!
 Sisters...always together
If only Brittlynn could climb, then you could see all of the kids.

She didn't think she was able to fit...but she did.
The look on their faces...can I make it down from here?
Yes, Mom even made it in the picture.  Savannah wanted to get up with brother and sister, so mom had to help and decided to stay for the picture.
 Look at this view
Mom and Dad together...don't we look good.  We should get more of these pictures.

With a crazy family like mine (teenagers and toddlers) it can be difficult to find things that everyone can/wants to do.  Savannah had fun exploring.  Alex and Emily actually enjoyed climbing rocks together...they didn't even want to leave.  Brittlynn enjoyed her stroller.  Mom and Dad (both generations) enjoyed the walk and looking at the beautiful scenery...watching the kids have so much fun is alway enjoyable.

We love when family comes to visit.  We wish it would happen more often.

Go Buckeyes!!!

Football season has long since started...and for some will soon be over.  In our house you could call us Buckeye fans. OHIO... (For some it was inherited in marriage contract.)  We had some family come visit for the weekend so we thought it would be the a great time for pictures.  (We usually do this for their first game of the season.)

 A true fan...go Buckeyes
 The Lescarbeau Clan...

I love my Nana and Papa!
 Go Buckeyes!
 Gotcha Brother...

Thanks Nana and Papa for bringing our Buckeye gear for the pictures.
