Go Airforce Falcons!

One of the exciting things about working at a University is going to the sporting events.  The best part is knowing some of the players and cheering them on.  The first game we were able to go to as a family was BYU vs AF.  It was a big game around here.  What made it even more special was it was on the aniversary of 9-11.  So they had some special things planned.  One of the items for the day was to honor those men and women who serve our country.  Eric was selected to represent his group on the field because he has recently deployed.  We attended college football at our last base, but it just wasn't the same as what we got to see.  The best part were our seats.  We were so close to the field.

Here are some of the highlights.
Ready to watch a little football.
In the huddle getting fired up for the big game.
All cadets at the Air Force Academy are required to attend the football games.  Before the games they line up in their squadrons to march out on the field.  They are led by the band.  After everyone is on the field they all run to the bleachers.  It is the craziest thing to see.  The pictures below kinda show you what is going on.  It is way cool to watch.

This is all of them in the bleachers at the end.

Getting ready to welcome the players to the field.

The fly-by at half time.  We miss this sound.

Polly even braved the game with Brittlynn.  Yes, she isn't even  3 months old yet.

Everytime the falcons score a group of cadets run out on the field...

and do push-ups for every point.

Getting ready for the play.

The band during half time.

Eric is waiting to be honored at halftime.

Beautiful...what more can I say.

I love the american Flag.

Alex tried getting some shots of the action.

We finally made it home...Go Air force.

Two months ago we were blessed to have Brittlynn Tia join our family.  She came at a very crazy time in our lives (One month before the big move).  She did great in the car...slept most of the way except when she had to eat.  We were hoping that life would slow down just a little bit once all the packing was done...but it still hasn't.  Brittlynn is very different than Savannah which is a good thing.  (Mom doesn't think she would be able to handle two demanding children.)  She is most content if you let her fall asleep in her bouncy chair (she hates her bed, except to sleep during the night).  She lays on the floor and enjoys playing with her toys.  She loves to smile and laugh at everyone.  She has even started to make noises like she is trying to talk.  She doesn't get easily bothered by her sister and all of the extra love and attention that she gives her.  We are so grateful for her to be part of our family.

Life in Colorado...

Life for the Lescarbeau family has not slowed down at all (even when we are not playing soccer.)  We are finding lots of things to be able to do as a family together.  It also happens to be Savannah's favorite activity...going to the park.  It is really nice to have two parks so close to our house.  The favorite park is behind the house where it is nice and shady.  Emily and Alex even enjoy going and sometimes even take Savannah with them.

A little one on one...the game was over because we couldn't let dad win

Savannah enjoying the swings..thanks sister

Emily on top the the world (or the rock wall)

Angel enjoys the new scenery...or just wants to get the squirrel out the tree

Savannah loving the camera

Downtown Aquarium

While in Denver we decided to do a little sight seeing.  The downtown Aquarium looked very interesting so we thought we would give it a try.  (I will let the pictures do most of the talking)
Playing with bubbles outside while dad buys the tickets

Ready or not here we go...

We had to try this one...

the verdict is...yes, it was fun...best foot massage ever.

The aquarium walked you through water life all throughout the world; the desert, the rain forest, the ocean...this is a little of what you could see.

(This was Savannah's favorite part)

Yes, that is a shark

Emily and Savannah tried to get wet from the Flash flood

When all was said and done...it was lunch time.
