After spending the winter season watching several hockey games, going to see Princesses on Ice, and helping dad shop for hockey skates, Savannah was ready to try Ice Skating. Spring break was the perfect opportunity for us to go. No school for Alex and no work for Dad. (Emily went to Florida with her mom).
After a few attempts we finally found skates that would fit on Savannah chubby feet. With her helmet on she was ready to conquer the world...or skate like a princess what ever happens first.
She held on to dads hand and made realized this is very strange. Its a lot harder than it appears.
She finished up the first round with dad carrying her and we thought for sure she was ready to go home. To our surprise she was persistent and kept trying. She would have to sit and take a break after each time around, but for her it was just as fun sitting where the hockey boys sit. While she took a break Alex and Dad enjoyed racing each other around the ice.
"Daddy please don't let me go"
"look mommy I'm skating"
The race is on...
Alex make a fast break
You can never get enough of these two...so much alike in so many ways
This is Savannah skating just like princess Ariel
Dad finishing the race first
Love at first try...she loved ice skating...
