| Brittlynn all bundled up and having fun |
Upon arriving at the zoo, we realized that many others in Colorado Springs had the same idea. So trying to make the most of it, we pushed through the crowds and were able to see some of the animals. Most of them were asleep for the night.
We did get to see the lions and tigers...no bears though. The lights were nice, but the best part of it all was watching Savannah look at the animals and remembering the last time she went to the zoo. We are so amazed at the things she can remember seeing there. She asked mom about the dragon...mom thinking she was a little crazy said, "there is no dragon here." Later we found the dragon next to the iguanas and Savannah quickly says "see mom I told you there was a dragon."

One of the highlights for the evening was riding on the pony. Yes, Savannah did it. We weren't sure if she would go by herself, but without fear she got on the pony, left with some strange lady, and came back talking up a storm. (She isn't shy at all) The pony's name was Sunny and we were glad we let her go.

After that we quickly when to Santa Zone. This made the whole trip worth it. We were able to see Santa and his reindeer. It was great because you were able to go in and see Santa without a crowd of people making you feel rushed. This is the second time that Savannah and Brittlynn were able to see Santa Claus. Brittlynn wasn't too happy when mom handed her off and Savannah refused to sit on his lap, but somehow dad managed to get a great picture. To all we wish you a very Merry Christmas.

To see Santa is fun (if it's a good one), but to see Santa AND his reindeer sounds extra special!:)
