Back to the norm...

So for many school adds a routine in what would be an unplanned crazy day...for The Lescarbeau's school causes complete and total chaos. Alex is a freshman this year (We still can't get over the fact that he is in high school). He started out determined to do his best. He decided he wanted to try some of the advance classes. He quickly realized they actually require you to do homework and study from the text book. (For those of you not in San Angelo, TX this was strange and unusual. ) The first six weeks are over and he is ready to be out of the harder classes. We were surprised when he asked to be in these classes and not that surprised when he was ready to get out. He is very smart, but would rather do work at school and something different when he comes home. (Can you blame the kid...he is so much like his dad used to be). They have an advisory period to do homework or they can participate in various clubs. He comes home everyday with something new that he thinks he might want to do...the latest is flag football...we will see what he decides to do. Alex's regular soccer season has started, lucky dad gets to drive to Arlington every other weekend. (That's a four hour trip one way) His team is practicing in the field right by our house and it is wonderful. (We could only wish that Emily's practice would be just as close...oh well, one is better then none.) They do sports a little different here...you kinda have to choose at the first of the year which one you are going to play and then you practice with them all year. They play soccer the same time and basketball and somehow we missed the memo about tennis. So Alex is a one sport man this year.

Emily is doing well. She is the one that is keeping us busy driving around town. She is in the eighth grade and trying to do just a little of everything. She is in; all advanced classes...and rarely studying and some how pulling A's..; Pals...a class were they volunteer at elementary schools helping kids read; student council...in charge of the treasury...(should we be worried); soccer; and Young Womens...its with the church, but keeps her busy every Wednesday. She surprised us when she decided to play soccer, then she wanted to do cheer leading, and be on the volleyball team. That was just a little too much for our family...(we only have one car). She didn't make the volleyball team and chose not to do cheer leading, so its just soccer. She wasn't on the same team as before so there has been some adjusting to do. Her team now only has three girls and sometimes the boys aren't nice to the girls. Emily quickly eliminated all doubts on the soccer field after a couple games...the boys knew she could play and she meant business. Not sure if she is going to play again in the spring, but we are enjoying watching her play now. They are currently undefeated.

As for the rest of the family we enjoy driving around town dropping everyone off at there desired location and spending our Saturdays at the soccer fields.

Savannah is growing more each day and she wants to do everything on her own just like brother, sister, mommy and daddy...(yes I am worried about the day brother and sister get to drive...she already tries to drive the van) She a blessing to our home. She makes even the grumpiest in the family smile and she learns so many things everyday. We are amazed and grateful for her spirit. She loves her brother and sister and is always excited when they come home.
